Baguio Tour of Duty

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!

Summer time is over, but National Overseer Dr. Anthony Velasco together with Pastor Gary Yalung paid a visit to the Summer Capital of the Philippines—not for a summer trip but for an anniversary celebration.

Dr. Velasco and Pastor Gary arrived in the cold city of Baguio last Saturday, September 26 and had a fellowship with some of the workers of COG-Baguio upon arrival and enjoyed a great time with Pastor Mike Boleyley on the evening. The following day, COG-Baguio celebrated their 33rd Anniversary with the theme “JESUS FIRST” (J1). It was a victorious day of celebration indeed! Dr. Velasco shared the Word of God to encourage and strengthen our fellow brethren as they continue bringing glory to God’s name in their place. A great deliverance happened as many people responded to the altar call. The joy of being with one another was greatly shown when Dr. Velasco and Pastor Gary Yalung played the gongs and joined the youth from COG-Baguio as they perform a tribal dance (watch full video here).

It was undeniably a day of celebration, not just in the Northern part of our country but in every corner of heaven for that day was intended to bring glory to the King. That day was just one of the many proof of God’s unending faithfulness.
