North Luzon Region Visit

Several miles from Dasmarinas lies Pangasinan and yet the fire came all the way to touch hearts and encourage spirits desiring and living to serve God, fanning the flame! It was almost a 5-hour drive, a long and tedious driving experience, but the travail is worth. This is surely a memorable one. The first visit of Pastor Anthony Velasco to Pangasinan after his appointment as the National Overseer of COG-Philippines. Together with his wife, Sister Gigi Velasco, his son, AJ Velasco, and the rest of the team, with high hopes and expectation that God will be awakening and reviving the workers of COG-North Luzon Region. Their hearts desiring to minister whatever the Lord has put in their hands (in their lives!). Bringing glory to his name!

Different people came to join and experience this three-day conference. From Baguio, Bonifacio and Rosales, Pangasinan. Fused with one faith and Spirit, everyone is eager to learn and to experience the Lord during the conference, entitled Fan into Flame. Together with other lecturers, Ptr. Rhony Pepito, Bro. Bong Padlan, and Sister Gigi Velasco they have taught about Care Group Dynamics, Multi-Media and Worship. This was held at Cozy Hotel at Pangasinan which hosted them for few days providing them a very restful and comfortable venue wherein they can come together. Welcomed by the Regional Overseer, North Luzon Region, Pastor Jefferson Ventura, and the other pastors, Pastor Esly Tamayo of COG Rosales, Pangasinan.

Day 1, it is all about Fuelling your Passion, Pastor Anthony was the one to speak before the people. Day 2, Airing your Vision was shared, during this session AJ shared his testimony of how God has changed his relationship with his father, a total round-about indeed! The importance of a good communication between a father and child (or mother and child) was demonstrated by their relationship, a communication with understanding, with or without words. Also along with it, Sister Gigi Velasco taught about bringing worship into another level, entitled Wake Up!, hearts being awakened to spiritual fervour in worshiping God. Day 3, session on legacy was discussed by our pastor, legacy that will serve as a lighthouse to the next generation, embarking a life for the glory of Jesus Christ.

This conference has surely changed their courses all the while. Everyone who participated has been overhauled by the Spirit of the Lord, bringing them to another level in service, worship and prayer. It has left a special mark in their hearts that will be remembered, will never be forgotten. Oh! That the faith of every children of the Lord be fanned into flame!
