The Aftermath

It’s been a few months since the last graduation of Worship 101. These students even joined us in some of the events in celebrating the Silver Anniversary of the church. However, after sacrificing precious times of going through strenuous daily rehearsals and sleepless nights of preparations, we reached the aftermath of the events – feeling really tired. There are even some who got stuck in the middle of a lot of pressures and worries in life, including emotional and mental battles, even though they’ve already been in the ministry for a long time.

Sometimes, whenever we’re in the peak of our passion in our respective ministries we feel that we have this unlimited anointing and energy flowing through us that we take everything head on. During these times, we usually don’t notice that we get stuck being “busy for the kingdom.” Eventually, our energy drains and we feel burned-out. We become vulnerable of being lied by the enemy who plays with our emotions to deceive and paralyze us. This is one of the times when JESUS would like to remind us of His words in Matthew 11:28-30

28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Let us not forget to daily come to the Lord to get recharged so that we could face our every day with His Spirit and not by our own strengths. May the grace and joy of the Lord be with us as we serve Him, in all our circumstances. May we be able to worship Him with our hands lifted high; because whenever we come to Him, we find rest as He promised in Psalm 23:2.

He lets me rest in green meadows;
He leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength.

God bless!
